The Ultimate Spooky Season Marathon

The+Ultimate+Spooky+Season+Marathon

As Halloween approaches us every year people debate on what films to watch on movie nights. This is our take on a well-rounded marathon for the Halloween season.

Once you gather your spooky snacks, drive into the night with the classic 1966 film, “The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” which has been on the air and entertaining kids for decades. This classic stars the Peanuts gang going out trick or treating while Linus stays behind to see if the Great Pumpkin will appear on Halloween night to give toys to boys and girls.

Following “The Great Pumpkin” is the scary, but not too scary film, “Coraline” which follows the journey of a curious girl who finds a door that leads to a world that is like hers but with a sinister side to it. Using her wits she must try and escape this new world before she loses sight of what she truly wants.

Next on our horror movie list is “Scream”, which involves a teenage girl who is terrorized by a masked killer who targets her and her friends through the use of stereotypical scary cliches. Another one on the list is a franchise called “The Conjuring” – a collection of horror films that centers itself around the lives of Ed and Lorraine Warren through their demonic case files.

Finally, “Beetlejuice” is the last on our list which is about a couple that dies and their home gets sold to a snobby family, causing them to take action to protect their beloved home. They hire a demon named Betelgeuse to scare the new family out of their house but a turn of events leaves their home in even more danger.

Have a Happy Halloween movie night and don’t forget to keep your day!
