As a student who is an athlete at ALHS and trying to be educated we  feel that teachers need to give students more time in class to work on their assignments.

A lot of students have so much homework they have to get done and it is especially hard to get it done on time when you’re an athlete and have other curricular activities. Teachers will give students a big project that’s a huge part of their grade and give them no time to work on it in class. They tell us that it should be done that day in class or it needs to be done at home when the project is not short nor easy.

Teachers simply think that students have everyday after school and on the weekends free  to do their stuff.

A lot of people have stuff to do outside of school and teachers need to respect that and give them more time in class because we have around 45 minute class periods and the teacher will talk the whole time saying the same things over and over again and then expect us to get it done that day. So many students have a stressful life already at least I do and with all this homework on top of it that’s not easy it adds so much more stress.

Again I think we need more time for our assignments and projects because a lot of us have no time outside of school to do the homework teachers give us one day to work on and in the future it can ruin students’ grades and make their education hard and stressful.
