Here it is at night time and there’s something jetting up out of the ground. Rebekah Crissinger has been the Orchestra teacher for Albert Lea School District since 2007. Crissinger’s extracurriculars impact a lot of people including an Excel Youth Orchestra.
“We are in the process of hosting our first honors orchestra,” said Crissinger.
She and a couple other conductors have created a board for the honor orchestra. One of their plans is to give middle-level orchestra kids, 5th-8th graders, music to practice. She is going to have them come and practice for one day and that night host a concert. This may be the first time but she does not want it to be the last.
“It will be a one-time thing right now but we have dreams of making it year round,” said Crissinger.
