Frozen

Do you wana build a snowman?

Who said animated movies are just for little kids? Disney’s “Frozen,” an animated musical featuring the voices of the award-winning actress and singer Idina Menzel and actress Kristen Bell, has surprisingly been a big hit among teens and adults.

“I really fell in love with the movie, the music was incredibly catchy and the story line really brought me in,” said senior Emma Behling. “I liked it so much the first time that I went again.”

Behling is not the only one thathas enjoyed the movie. The L.A. Times reported that since Frozen’s opening weekend, the movie has made $900 million around the globe. From France to China to Russia, the movie has been recorded in 41 different languages and released in hundreds of countries.

“I’ve seen videos on YouTube from different recordings of the songs, it’s really hilarious to hear it sung in another language, but it’s also really cool that they can do that,” said junior Caleb Troe, who saw it with friends.

The movie has already taken home a Golden Globe award for “Best Animated Feature Film.” It has also been nominated for two Oscar awards including “Best Animated Feature” and “Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures.”

Many people would say it is the music that made the movie so fun to watch, including Behling.

“The music really brought me in right away” Behling said. “My favorite song is ‘Let it Go.’ I could definitely see it being a hit on broadway, but it was more fun on film with all the visual effects.”

If you haven’t seen the movie perhaps you should just “Let it Go” and see it, you’ll be sure to love it since “Love is an Open Door”, unless of course someone asks you “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” because “For the First Time in Forever”, it’s been really “Cold.”
