On Saturday March 16^th, Albert Lea High School hosted its first Tiger Nation Takedown. The Takedown was a fundraiser to raise money to improve the weight room at the High School. The Takedown starred Albert Lea High Schools principle Jim Wagner wrestling against the 6 foot Masked Assassin. Before Wagner wrestled there were plenty of other wrestlers showing off the moves they had. Wagner wrestled last and won his match against the Masked Assassin. The setup of the fundraiser was like one you would see on television. Plenty of seats and a big red wrestling ring. Wagner’s goal was to have approximately 3000 people at the event. Although there wasn’t quite that many people there, there was still plenty of people to get the wrestlers pumped up for their match. During the matches concession stands were open for anybody that wanted a little something to snack on or drink. The stands were run by Jo Ann Erickson and the National Honor Society students.
