News brief- Finals

Many students complain about the finals schedule and how it’s unfair that us students have to come in at a certain time that we really don’t even have a say in. Well Ahlahasa decided to ask some teachers how they felt about the schedule. The majority of the teachers claim that the schedule is great because they won’t get too many random students in their classes. Many teachers teach more than one class. Mrs. Kezsler teaches physics and chemistry for example. She wouldn’t want a bunch of chemistry students mixed with a bunch of physics students to come in together expecting to take a final. The current schedule makes things run smoother is what the teachers seem to think.
In reality most teachers feel that it’s their choice when things happen and the students will do as told.
“We pick the schedule and the students have to go by it,” said Mr. Sundblad “This isn’t college, we are actually legally responsible for the kids here, we have to know where they are all the time.”
The reason students are required to sit in the class the whole period during finals, even if the student is finished is because the school lacks supervision in the hallways during times like this. They don’t have enough teachers with free periods to sit at all the doors and in the hallways. Like Sundblad said, they’re responsible for us, and we can’t be wandering.
It’s for our own good. My opinion on the subject, if you don’t like the schedule, then don’t miss class and get the grades where you need them before the finals. That way, you don’t have to be here for those days and then the schedule won’t bother you.
