ALHS French Club is open to all, not just French-speaking students. It is an opportunity to explore another culture in a creative way.

“To me, French Club is a way to meet French speakers of all levels,” said French Club Vice-President Autumn Warrington. “It’s fun to meet beginners because you can imagine what you were like at that stage. Also you don’t have to take a French class to come to a meeting. It’s totally fine if you’re a complete newbie, we’ll still welcome you with open arms.”

French club organizes many activities such as trying French cuisine, celebrations of French holidays, traditional French games, and even competitions like building Eiffel Towers out of spaghetti noodles and marshmallows for prizes.

“French Club extends the learning from the classroom into kids’ lives after school,” said advisor and French teacher Peter Sunnarborg.

If you are interested in joining ALHS French Club you can reach out to Advisor Peter Sunnarborg or stop by room E107 for more information and dates of feature meetings.
