Charles M. Schulz’s loveable Charlie Brown and the gang are back in the “Peanuts” movie.

Charlie Brown, the world’s beloved underdog, takes off upon an epic quest, while his best pal, the lovable Snoopy, takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron.

Those who remember the beloved comic strip will be surprised by the Peanuts transformation to the big screen. The 3D animation lets fans experience Charlie Brown in a way they never have before. Snoopy and Charlie Brown are separated for most of the movie; two separate stories are going on at the same time. Charlie Brown is off on a quest while Snoopy hits the skies to battle the Red Baron. I giggled at all the childish jokes and smirked at the underlying adult humor. It’s the Peanuts, keep-it-clean-but-adults-will-still-go-to movie to relieve their childhood.

Don’t ruin this for them. Other than the hidden adult humor, the new stories and adventures add in old characters like Snoopy’s nemesis the Red Baron, Sally, Pigpen, Linus and Lucy. This movie is great for the whole family and really brings out the adventurous kid at heart. The remastered Peanuts gang is still up to their old antics. Will Charlie Brown ever get a chance to punt the football? Will Lucy stop pulling it away from him? You’ll just have to go see for yourself in the new Peanuts. The little kid-at-heart in me loved the movie.
