Moshi Moshi, annyeonghaseyo, Bonjour, Hallo.
Basically HELLO!

Let’s get the “get to know me” stuff out of the way real quick. At ALHS I am part of NHS and am an editor of the AHLAHASA. I am in a few AP classes as well. I will be a graduate of the class of 2016.
As senior year gets started I can honestly say I have learned so much about myself in the last few years or so and I want to bring that to this year’s newspaper. There is no more hiding.

In high school I went through many phases over the past four years, but have always covered up the real me. Let’s face it, it is hard to be one’s self in high school because no one wants to be picked on or judged; even someone like me doesn’t want the trouble.

But through friends and even the newspaper, I have learned it is better to be yourself than hide behind different masks. Yes we all are growing and trying to figure out who we are, but don’t hide the real you just to impress others. I have been through the bullying and the ridicule for how I look and the way I live my life, but I am honestly so proud of who I have become and how strong it has made me.

Even though there are some people who decide to make bad choices, such as bullying others, believe it or not you will find where you fit in and make friends who will enjoy the person you are. I mean we have some crazy characters at our school so it will be easy to find your place. My hope is that I can inspire and help people through my writings this year. I must admit that I am so nervous for my last year at ALHS.
Say what you want, but this school has been my home for the last five years, and thinking about moving to Colorado and starting college next year is unsettling. For now I will be holding on to every minute I have left as a high schooler and make as many memories as I can.

I want to make the best out of my last year so please don’t be afraid to come say Hola or Aloha, because I will gladly chat with you! Let’s get this year started.
