Do you feel overwhelmed and stressed out trying to balance being a student and an athlete? That’s because we never get an adequate break for the work we put in.
People don’t talk about how hard it is to wake up early, go to a full day of school, perform well in school, go straight to practice, exercise for almost 2 hours depending on the sport, ,perform well in practice, and then get home at 6 or sometimes later while being exhausted from the day.
Some may argue that we are young and should have the energy to be able to do all of this.
All you want to do is relax because of the constant strain your muscles endure over the season. But you can’t because you have to fit in time to study, do homework, finish projects, and have the expectation to perform well in school and in your sport. Not to mention away games on school nights and not getting home till after 11 o’clock some days. All to wake up early and do the same cycle over again.
