Are the Disney classics really better than the new Disney movies? Most new Disney movies contain complex emotional storylines and focus on character development. They focus on self discovery, bonds between family and friends, and self improvement. These themes teach more valuable lessons to the audience. Old Disney movies have less focus on their characters improving and becoming a better person. Instead they focus solely on finding a love interest.
Another thing Disney has been producing recently is live-action films. These give us a more detailed and complex storyline than the original Disney classics. These live action films include great technology, great costuming and amazing soundtracks.
Something else that new Disney films have is amazing music. Some new Disney movies include cultural elements into their music, for example in the movies “Moana” and “Encanto”. In old Disney movies, they have boring songs that add nothing to the storyline.
Most new Disney movies incorporate more technology and 3D animation. This makes the characters and scenery pop and grab your focus while you are watching a movie. The old Disney movies had hand drawn animation. This animation style looks flat, boring and dull compared to their new animation style.
The new Disney movies also incorporate different cultures in their films. And show more diverse depictions of characters and princesses. This makes people of different backgrounds and cultures feel better about the representation and inclusion in Disney films. Because of all these elements Disney has been improving and exploring with more creativity.
In my personal opinion, between the new technology, cultural representation, music, and overall storyline improvement. The new movies are much better and more interesting.
Ultimately, the new movies bring a new kind of magic to a modern audience that the old Disney movies could not.
