Erin Boorsma (12) was nominated by her peers as the Impact Student. This is one of many achievements Boorsma won this year. She is also a recipient of the Triple A award, was inducted on to the Wall of Inspiration and on the Homecoming Court. “Be as involved as you can, find a niche or find something you enjoy and do it with your whole heart,” Boorsma explains her personal philosophy for creating the best Senior year.

Senior Matthew Ramirez played violin for Tiger’s Roar. “Watching the other acts, a lot of them were fun to watch, and getting to see everyone’s talent’s was my favorite part of Tiger’s Roar,” said Ramirez.
Tiger’s Roar: The Riskier the Better
Most of the players, organizers and volunteers who helped raise money for the Orrie Jirele Scholarship pose with his signature in the schools gym. The Night of Fun basketball fundraiser was on March 1st. Sophomores beat the Juniors 84-40. The staff pulled out a last minute win against the Seniors 52-51.

Tenth-grader Janely Tuxpan created a paper mache for class and said It doesnt come out how you want it. I just take it apart and try it again to get it how I want.
Working Through Mistakes
Senior Carly Stevens calls this art piece The Hummingbird. Her grandmother inspired her to make this since she loves hummingbirds. Once completing it I was glad I was able to make something that looked good, said Stevens It was a bit of a struggle to make because I had to make sure everything was in the right spot.
