I’ve never donated blood but I didn’t feel as nervous as I thought I would. I am not afraid of blood nor needles. I think members of our student council were helpful. They were supportive of the students who were donating blood. There are criteria in order to be able to donate blood like whether or not you’ve been out of the country, illness, and blood pressure. It was all done fairly quickly. I didn’t even notice that I was already lying down on one of the beds they had prepped for me to get my blood sucked out of my arm. I was on my phone for a short period of time, and in the end, I was greeted with a table of snacks and juice boxes that I enjoyed. The only negative of this experience was that my arm was a bit sore, but other than that, consider donating blood, as donors are highly appreciated.
