While we all have our own personal and usually strong opinions on pumpkin spice, we as an Ahlahasa staff tried all of the pumpkin spice lattes within Albert Lea: Caribou, Scooter’s, McDonald’s, and Mocha & Mini. 

We created a rating system while evaluating the flavors of all of these drinks, on a scale of one through five. If you gave a drink a one on our rating scale it’s clear that you would never rebuy this drink, however, if you gave a drink a score of five, you would be jumping into your car about to buy another one as soon as possible. 

We purchased one drink from each of the stores and poured them into little cups with numbers on them so we could rate them without knowing what shop they were from but ultimately check the numbers at the end to find out what our favorite place to buy from was. 

Ultimately, It was shown that the best place to buy a pumpkin spice latte is from Caribou. Caribou finished with a total drink score of 25, surpassing McDonalds by 11 points and just above Mocha & Mini with a 24.5. Scooters placed right in the middle with a score of 20.
