Promposals, they’re one of the coolest parts of the prom season. You can get as creative as you want with it, or you can be boring and just tweet your bae asking them. No matter how you ask or get asked it’s going to be an exciting memory to share for years to come.
Personally it’s one of my favorite parts of the prom season. It shows your own personal relationship with the person you’re going with and you can incorporate the things that mean the most to you. I’ve seen things range from personal jokes all the way to over the top Pinterest ideas that are more than instagram worthy.
By far my favorite promposal that I have seen is when my friend asked a girl using a Star Wars themes poster while he was dressed up as a character from the movie. That movie had a lot of meaning between those two people so it was amazing to see it brought to life in a personal moment that they can remember for the rest of their lives.
It’s always cool to me to see people’s lives brought out in creative ways that can be shared with another special person, whether it be a friend or a significant other
Prom may not be the most important day in ones life, but it can make some of your most important memories of high school. Sure it may add a little more pressure to impress your date, but it’s all worth it once you see the look on their face.
And it doesn’t have to be the boy asking a girl to prom. About two years ago I asked my female friend to prom using a sign that said, “Hey orch dork, would it be careless of a band geek to ask you to prom?” all while blasting the song Careless Whisper in the background.
So the point that I’m getting at is promposals can be exciting, memorable, funny and sweet. So get out there, risk it all, and ask your date to prom!
