Meet the Managing Editor- Kylie Brown

My name is Kylie Brown and I am the Managing Editor for the Ahlahasa. I am a senior and I am involved in Link Crew, I play the viola and cello in Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, and I will be the secretary in Key Club. Outside of school I love spending time with friends and family and listening or playing music. I also work in the home department of Herbergers. In tenth grade I took the Intro to Journalism class. I originally took it so I could join yearbook but after being apart of the Sophisticate, I realized that being on Ahlahasa might be the right fit for me. Other than working as an intern this summer at the Tribune, I went on a vacation with my family up north and spent a week with my cousins. I also got to experience Relay for Life for the first time in July. After High School I will go to college to major in Education. I want to be a high school teacher, maybe in music. As Managing Editor I will be working with the website, social media, marketing and advertising, I will kind of all over. I am excited to be apart of this amazing paper for another year.
![“This [photo] is basically the same area,” said science teacher Todd Mikkelsen. “So that [the cover photo] was my photo at dusk. Here it is at night time and there’s something jetting up out of the ground. So it’s the same location, different dates, two different cameras picked up an anomaly in the same region.”](https://www.ahlahasa.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Ghost-Cover-1200x901.png)
