Hat, Mitten, Scarf Drive Kicks Off

Rachel Jensen, Alix Kermes, and Annabelle Randall have been running a hats, gloves and mittens drive. Their goal is to give back to the community.

It goes from Dec. 2 to Dec. 17. They also have a coat drive that ends on the Dec. 14.

The clothing items will be donated to the Salvation Army to help the needy. Those that donate a coat will get entered for the chance to win a Timberwolve’s ticket. The goal is to give back to the community.

This is the second year that the hat, mittens, and gloves drive has been around. It started last year for the 10th grade journalism project, where the students were required to help out others in some way. Due to the great results of last year’s hat, gloves, mittens drive, Jensen, Kermes, and Randall decided to do it again because they wanted to help out the community.

They would like everyone to get involved because it’s a great cause, and they hope for many donations this year. So far there have been several donations, and they are looking forward to more people making donations helping out with the good cause.
