The jazz band performed today during 7th hour and made their debut before winter choir concert. They played many classics incliding a version of jingle bell rock dominated by the saxophones. Also performed was Rudolph the red nosed raindeer taken in ‘swing’ by the trumpets inculding a big sax cinquet. Let it snow with soloists Josh Englin, Gigi Otten, and Grace Chalmers was also a favorite by the students watching. A strong and intense classic swing/great gastsby style sounding of jingle bells was fulfilled with plenty of ‘dirty sax’. The band consists of 4 trumpets 5 sax 1 guitar 1 bass 2 percussion 4 trombones all 9th-12th grade conducted by Suzanne Mauer.
