Teacher Feature: RJ Polley

Albert Lea High School welcomed several new staff members this fall, including school counselor RJ Polley. Polley will be assisting students with last names that begin with H-O.

Polley earned his degree at the University of South Dakota and said that he chose the path of a school counselor because he “wanted to be involved in the community that [he] live[s] in.” An ALHS graduate himself, Polley chose to return home after college because he wanted to “work in the community and high school that [he] grew up in.”

During his time in Albert Lea, he was involved in several athletic programs, including football, basketball and track and field. Polley will once again be making an appearance on the football field, this time as a coach.

Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his family, grilling and watching or playing sports.
