Welcome back to the 2011-2012 school year. We want to welcome the eighth graders and the freshmen to ALHS, welcome back the sophomores and juniors, and wish the seniors a great final year.
For those who have no idea what they are reading right now, this is the Ahlahasa. The dictionary definition would be: Ahlahasa (AH•LAH•HAH•SAH)– A newspaper by ALHS students, for the community.
Let us address what is on everybody’s mind. The drastic changes made to this school. We want to say first and foremost, get used to them. They aren’t going to change back. Look at it this way; you don’t have to cover as much ground, because your classes are closer together. Also, do you really notice the eighth graders? We’re willing to bet that you couldn’t tell the difference between a freshmen and an eighth grader.
Some people say they could have changed the schools differently. People saythe eighth graders are a hassle and take up too much room. They also say there are too many people in the lunches.
Can you think of a way to change the schools differently? Can you move about freely, almost all the time? Do you get to eat every day?
We challenge you to give the incoming students a chance. You never know; you might just make some friends in the process.
