Send us your ‘two cents worth’

December 15, 2010

This is an open invitation to the students and staff at Albert Lea High School. The Ahlahasa is an everchanging school newspaper. Balancing schoolwork and working for the newspaper isn’t always easy. We at the Ahlahasa welcome any and all ideas on how to improve this publication, and appreciate the opinions of our peers. However, we also feel it’s time for others to walk-the-walk, not just talk-the-talk. If there is something you think we missed, write us a letter. If you’re tired of reading similar stories, year in and year out, send us some ideas of what we should be writing about. If we focus too much on certain people or sports, write a Letter to the Editor. Submit it to Mr. Worth in room E-103. It must be signed, as we may have clarifications to make sure we print it accurately. Being a relatively small staff comprised of juniors and seniors, we only have so many connections to the underlying issues and stories in the school. We are always looking for new stories and involvement from the student body and teachers. Recently, Ahlahasa placed 10th in a national Best of Show contest using the November issue, with the special section on Racism in School placing seventh. We want to make Ahlahasa the best student newspaper, not only in Minnesota, but the United States. We need you to help us improve and succeed in our endeavors of covering the most important issues in the high school.
